Bruce ’81 and Jennifer Lee’s Gift Celebrates Community
Crediting his senior year experience at USM as a “pivotal year” in his educational journey, Lee believes that it is the intimate parent-teacher-student interaction that sets USM apart. “When all three work together as a team, the outcome is a better education,” he said. Thanks to his and his family’s generosity, the Bruce ’81 and Jennifer Lee Community Room is the perfect place for those relationships to grow.
The room, located adjacent to the Darrow Family Welcome Center, features collaborative work spaces, coffee-and-conversation areas, and extendible seating. It’s a place where parents and other community members mingle, connect with teachers, exchange ideas, and build friendships. Please come visit this new space if you haven’t done so already.
Bruce Lee ’81 currently serves as a member of USM’s Alumni Association Board and the Our Common Bond campaign cabinet, and works as the managing director, Private Banking and Investment Group at Merrill Lynch in Chicago where he lives.
