Leaving a Lasting Mark – Beam Signing
The University School of Milwaukee gathered together in a display of support for Our Common Bond campaign to watch as a beam was lifted into place as part of construction for the Jack Olson ’67 Commons.
The beam had previously been signed by the entire campus community. “The Jack Olson ’67 Commons is a space that will be enjoyed and shared by our entire community upon its completion at the start of next school year,” said Head of School Laura Fuller. “Signing the beam allows us to come together as a community to support the construction project with our very own imprints, serving as a visual and symbolic endorsement for our school community.”
The campaign has reached an important milestone, with total commitments surpassing the $18 million mark toward the $27 million total campaign goal, thanks to a legacy gift from a Milwaukee Downer Seminary alumna. USM continues to enjoy the progress of the construction projects supported through Our Common Bond, and we thank the members of the USM community who have supported the effort to this point in the campaign.
